Das Klarinettentrio ist aus der Internationalen Akademie des Ensemble Modern in Frankfurt hervorgegangen. Die ungarische Klarinettistin Boglárka Pecze, die Schweizer Cellistin Eva Boesch und die südkoreanische Pianistin Sun-Young Nam haben sich 2010 dort getroffen und bald darauf ihre Formation gegründet. Das Trio Catch spielt auch die bekannten Klarinettentrios von Ludwig van Beethoven und Johannes Brahms. Kernrepertoire ist aber vor allem Musik aus der Zeit nach 1940 und allerneueste Musik. Die Interpretationen der Gegenwartsstücke sind geprägt vom direkten Kontakt mit den Komponisten. Das Trio Catch unternimmt weite Tourneen und tritt bei namhaften Festivals auf wie dem Ultraschall Berlin und dem Heidelberger Frühling.
